Delete your account

Deleting your ScentHunt account permanently removes all personal data associated with it: your review texts and tags, collection lists, preferences, challenge progress, usage events, and - if you backed the account up - the linked email address. Deletion is immediate in our production systems and completes in encrypted backups within up to 30 days. It cannot be undone.

The numeric scores you gave perfumes stay in our database in anonymized form - a score attached to a perfume, with the link to your account permanently removed. They cannot be traced back to you; they only keep community statistics accurate. Everything else is erased.

Delete directly in the app (recommended)

• Open ScentHunt;
• go to Profile → Delete my account;
• confirm. That's it - no email or waiting required.

Delete by email

If you no longer have the app installed, email hello@scenthunt.app from the address you used to back up your account, with the subject "Account deletion request". We will delete the account within 30 days and confirm by reply.

Note: if your account was never backed up, it is anonymous - it contains no email or name, so we cannot match it to you from an email request. In that case use the in-app deletion, or simply uninstalling the app leaves behind an anonymous record that identifies no one.

Partial deletion

You can remove individual ratings and list entries in the app at any time without deleting the whole account. For anything else, see our Privacy Policy or write to us.
