Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and the operator of ScentHunt ("we", "us"). By using the ScentHunt app or this website you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. What ScentHunt is

ScentHunt is a fragrance discovery app: you rate scents, complete discovery challenges, build a collection, and see price information for perfumes across selected retailers. The app is currently free of charge.

2. Your account

An anonymous account is created automatically when you first use the app. You may optionally link it to your Apple or Google identity to back it up. You are responsible for the devices you use the app on. You can delete your account at any time in the app (details).

3. Prices and shop links

Price information is collected from publicly available retailer listings and refreshed periodically. It is provided for information only: prices, availability and price-history indicators (such as "lowest in 30 days") may be outdated or inaccurate at any moment, and the price shown at a retailer's checkout always prevails. We are not a seller and we are not a party to any purchase you make; purchases are governed solely by the retailer's own terms.

Affiliate links

Some shop links in the app and on this website are affiliate links. If you buy something after tapping such a link, the retailer or an affiliate network may pay us a commission. This costs you nothing extra and does not change the price you pay. Affiliate relationships do not influence which perfumes we show you, how they are ranked, or the prices and price-history data we display - those come from the same public listings for every retailer, affiliated or not.

4. Your content

Ratings, notes and tags you create remain yours. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to store and process them to operate the service - including in aggregated or anonymized, non-identifying form (for example community rating counts). If you delete your account, your review texts and tags are deleted with it, while the numeric scores you contributed remain as anonymized entries that cannot be linked to you (see the Privacy Policy). You agree not to submit unlawful, offensive or infringing content.

5. Acceptable use

• Do not scrape, bulk-download or resell data from the service;
• do not interfere with, overload or reverse-engineer the service;
• do not use the service to violate any law;
• do not manipulate ratings or challenges with automated tools.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

6. Intellectual property

The app, this website, our artwork and branding are protected by intellectual-property laws and remain our property. Perfume names and brand names belong to their respective owners; ScentHunt is not affiliated with or endorsed by any fragrance house or retailer.

7. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. Fragrance information (notes, concentrations, performance statistics) is compiled from public sources and community input and may contain errors. Nothing in the app is purchase, medical or allergy advice.

8. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost savings arising from price information, or issues caused by retailers or third-party services. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.

9. Changes to the service and terms

We may change or discontinue features. If we materially change these terms, we will update the effective date above and inform you in the app; continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Poland. Mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live remain unaffected. Disputes will be resolved by the competent courts under applicable law.
